This listing of trails in the Mid South United States is being built and regularly updated. Check back often for the latest. The trails are arranged by state. Once in the state page you are wanting to learn about the trails are arranged from shortest first to longest.
If you have trails or trail journals you would like to submit please send them in. The more the better! To keep it simple try to follow the same format I have laid out in designing the trail description.
Nice job and a great start on the a trails list! I’m always eager to hear of new places to explore. I have a few more Arkansas area falls that would be nice to add:
Richland Falls/Twin Falls in the Richland Creek Wilderness – -it’s not a maintained trail, but easy to follow
Indian Creek Trail — This is in the Buffalo River Area, and also not maintained but easy to follow
Hemmed in Hollow – from the Compton Trailhead (I note that you have the Centerpoint trailhead) — maintained –this is one of our favorites
Hawksbill Crag/Whitaker Point – also maintained and very popular
There are also some pretty small ones in the Buffalo River area that may or may not be worth adding: The Ponds Loop, Koen Interpretive Trail, Mill Creek Loop — but they may not be big enough hikes to add to this site.
I’ve hiked some in Texas. Where can I find a link to tell you what I’ve done there. I don’t see one.
I should also say, after reading your “about” section, you seem very similar to me. I have friends who hunt, etc. I never really go into that and about 8 years ago really go into hiking and other outdoor adventures.

When I get some time I’ll type up some stuff on them. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks.
Also, there are:
Hideout Hollow
Cecil Cove Loop
McFarrin Point (again, not maintained, but very easy to follow).
We did all of these three last fall.
Also, how far North into Missouri are you looking to cover?

I can’t seem to update my avatar or upload any pictures as I always get a “file is to big”. Any suggestions?
